ABOUT | Healthy Habits Final

Hello,

Welcome to my final project. My name is Matthew Alan and here's a little bit about myself:

I am from Portland, Oregon, USA
I currently live in Madrid, Spain
I am a Language Assistant at C.E.I.P. Agustina Díez

My final project is primarily targeted for the Primary 5 level, but incorporates materials and elements that are adaptable to other cognitive levels as well. The project focuses on healthy habits. More specifically; I review what a healthy diet looks like; some guidelines for physical activity and its specific mental and physical benefits; the importance of sleep and rest, contact with nature, good hygiene, etc.; and some guidelines regarding social media and new technologies.

My final project was created in accordance with the Legal Framework of Education outlined by the Comunidad de Madrid:

Decreto 61/2022, de 13 de julio, del Consejo de Gobierno, por el que se establece para la Comunidad de Madrid la ordenación y el currículo de la etapa de Educación Primaria.
Real Decreto 157/2022, de 1 de marzo, por el que se establecen la ordenación y las enseñanzas mínimas de la Educación Primaria.

For example, my final project has been created to adhere to the propositions made in these documents such as:

Article 14 of Decreto 61/2022 - Guaranteeing the equality of learning opportunities regardless of differences in comprehension levels and putting a clear emphasis on individual attention in order to attend to the varying needs of students as it relates to their differences in learning abilities.
Article 7 of Real Decreto 157/2022 - As it relates to ensuring the development of critical thinking skills, creativity, curiosity, basic foreign language competence for communication skills, an understanding of the value of other cultures and other people's opinions, etc.
Article 15 of Decreto 61/2022 - Ensuring that students with special needs are given the same opportunities to achieve basic levels of education and are exposed to the same types of classroom activities as everyone else.
Article 9 of Decreto 61/2022 - Objectives of the incorporation of foreign languages in schools with an emphasis on oral comprehension, verbal and speaking skills, etc.
